NBC is reporting that "Wallop, a startup spun out of Microsoft Corp.'s research lab, is launching the test version of an online social networking site with the premise that people will want to pay extra to look good."
Right........
Microsoft had launched a beta of the same under the name of "mywallop.com" more than a year back. The funda was cool - a Flash based creative and intituve GUI. However, there just weren't enough people on it. Hmm, an unsocial - social network - uh uh.. wouldn't work. I played around with the system for a while - but then got tired of playing by myself :)
